After you finish the video, please answer the questions below the video. I can’t wait to hear from you!

    1) I can remind myself to be content with food and clothing. That means I can let go of a loss due to someone else’s mistake. After all, God was in control then and he’s in control now.
    2) REJOICE ALWAYS: I’d gotten out of the habit. This greatly increased by daily joy. LOOK OUT FOR OTHERS: I faced a difficult situation in which the key to joy and peace was “in humility value others above yourselves” (Phil. 2:3). Praying this verse repeatedly over the situation and people involved brought me great peace and joy. THINK ON THESE: I faced another difficult circumstance for which I wrote out what was true, noble, right, etc. That brought joy and peace.

1.I can remind myself to be thankful and content with all that God has given me. I recently had to move and we did find another place to live. However I really wasn’t happy with the new house. I can now remind myself to be content that I have a place to live. God was gracious enough to provide a place for my husband and I.

POSITIVITY I chose positivity because I have always had a bad habit of looking at the what could happen. I have learned to look at the positive side of things that happen this has brought great Joy to my life. If you look at all the good things that happen instead of the bad things your life is my better.

    1) By honestly assessing any areas of discontentment, I can become more aware of their impact on my life and ministry. I can confess shortcomings and ask for help in areas which need change. This takes practice and patience.
    2) An attitude of Gratitude has been my go to Joy builder this summer. Finding little things to be thankful for in every situation every day regardless of how I “feel” … I am not gonna wait for the rain to pass, I’m gonna learn to dance in the rain!

Thank you for this wonderful study. It has been a breath of fresh air for me! I am ready to return to my fall routine as a first place 4 health leader and growing my wellness ministry. My cup is full of Joy! I have bought the book for others to do and I plan to do more of the series in the future!

      2) Dance in the rain–love that! Well put.
You’re welcome. May the Lord bless you in your ministry and continue to fill you with Joy.

This study has been a demarcation line in my life- a before studying JOY and after. I am leaving it changed. I’m so grateful to you Jean, this was a really, really good study, so well done. I have learned how to practice actively taking joy, I’ve learned the things that are joy builders in my life and the importance of intentionally practicing them. I’ve identified joy stealers as well, and how to counteract them. It matters. It works. It changes things, changes me. I don’t know if you are familiar with the concept of Immanuel Prayer- but there is an idea that our brains are wired with a ‘joy center’- and it’s from that place- best experienced through Immanuel, God WITH us, that we experience healing from past traumas, and gain strength for our present. I can testify, He has used that in my life through this study. I can sincerely say that I thank God every time I think of you, and the work you have done here! And a shout out to Pam and Karla- the testimonies were great, the coloring… loved that. Thank you.
    Onwards to HOPE! 🙂

Thank you for the study. I enjoyed the personal stories in the videos. I also enjoyed the verses to color . I practice memorizing verses as I color. Philippians 1:27 is the verse I keep coming back to over & over.
